Based on the Magical Moments Festival of Disneyland® Paris

A team of artists from the United States, Russia, China, Great Britain, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium came together in Blankenberge to create a piece of art, that also can be considered as a technical masterpiece.
Young and old can be fascinated by the magical Disney tales and stories, brought to life in tons of sand. This is the place where dreams really do come true.

The organizer of this festival also organizes the snow- and ice sculpture festival. The same concept, different materials. This ice sculpture festival starts the 25 November 2011 untill 15 January 2012 at the Station Square in Bruges.

The Sand Sculptures festival is located in the Duinse Polders of Blankenberge. Along the Koning Albert I laan, right in front of the Sea Life Center, next to Floreal Club and walking distance of the beach and Pier.
Tickets are for sale at the cashregistar of the festival, on the train and the Kusttram. No reservation needed. Duration time: around 2 hours.
The Sand Sculptures festival lies on walking distance from the trainstation of Blankenberge (800 m).
The kusttram stops right in front of the entrance (Halte Sea Life)..
For visitors travelling by road, there is a large (and free!) parking area for cars and buses immediately opposite the entrance to the festival site. The special tourist trams in Blankenberge will be running all summer long from the station to the Sand Sculpture Festival, via the pier and the promenade.
A series of specially laid paths will also make the Sand Sculpture Festival accessible for wheelchair users and other physically challenged visitors. A number of stewards will be on hand to help people who may need assistance.
Dogs will also be admitted, but only on a lead.
