What should I wear in Bruges?

Summers are usually lovely, but along with shorts & beachwear, bring a sweater, raincoat and umbrella for the occational rainshower. December, January and February can be tricky. Winter winds can be cold, so wrap up well.
Most locals don't over dress, and casual clothes are common. If you plan on dining nicely, bring appropriate coat and tie for men and more formal dress for women.
