Sand Sculpture Festival, 01/08/2006 till 24/09/2006
When
I first heard about this festival it didn’ know what to think
about it. I honestly couldn’t decide wether I liked the concept
or not, which was all the motivation I needed to actually go an
try it.
What you see is a technical masterpiece, constructed by the skilful
hands of a team of 60 artists from the United States, Russia, China,
Great Britain, Spain, Italy, France and the Netherlands. It’s

Klinkers 2006, 28 July till 12 August
Klinkers
has its reputation in Bruges that sounds like bells on the belfry.
It stands for a music festival, which is offered each summer outdoors,
for free, on the burg, astridpark and this year also in the court-yard
of the great seminary in the potterierei.
A cosmopolitan summer happening that gives his attention to quality,
atmosphere and enjoyment for a big audience.
Bruges Jousting, 11 June.
Sunday
night, 10 pm. The market square’s turned into a small sand
arena, surrounded by burning torches. You can feel the tension in
the air. The introduction learns us that we’re about to see
a historical joust, the clash between the Flemish and the French
camp somewhere around 1302.
Airbag Bis Festival - Robert Santiago & Son
Orchestre Typique, 13 May
During
the Bruges Airbag Festival, a nice mirror tent between the mills
was seen. On Saturday 13th of May there was a fruity cocktail party
served by Robert Santiago. He brought typical folks songs from South
America of the previous century: Cha-Cha-Cha, Mambo, Bolero, Vallenato,
Forro, bomba etc. Naturally nobody could sit still during his performance.
Have a look at the pictures taken and enjoy the atmosphere.
Red Rock Rally, 1 May
Red
Rock Rally was this year a wet edition, but when Yevgueni and Stash
started playing the sun took place so the party could go on. Have
a look at some pictures and a short video fragment...
